I feel like I'm the most useless person in this community, like I'm unable to help other people with the game, I don't contribute anything and so on. Any ideas how to become a useful part of the community?

Bro you've already contributed more than like 99% of people on these forums with your research threads, you're all good!

Yes, thanks for all you have done.  Hopefully the devs will take some queues from you and get all the formulas in the encyclopedia eventually.

I mainly contribute by creating fan lore, or fan stories and even bring up a few potential ideas to implement in future games, just take a look at some of my creation threads. Perhaps you could do something similar.

Don't be so hard on yourself, your above guide was great! You can always contribute to the HK Wiki which needs a ton of work and has very high visibility and impact - can't think of a better way to help the communityn

Also, you don’t need to be “useful” to be a part of the community.  Do what you enjoy, if you enjoy finding these things out, go ahead.  If you feel burned out, play the game some, look at what others have added to here, or do something nonHK related at all [the rest of life is a very important thing] until you feel like doing it again.  No need to delete an account, you can always let it sit snd come back to it later. (Noone worthwhile will be upset with that)

I can't write to the wiki as my language skills are simply too poor to explain stuff well enough to be of use. so other people have to do it.

Please don't feel this way.  I feel useless in life in general, I didn't think I would even make it to see the release of Humankind.  Perhaps talking to some of the Devs or even a therapist would help :)

The fact that you felt comfortable enough to make this post is a good step also,

This is a videogame. I think you should reconsider your priorities in life mate.

and regardless whether this is a video game or not your feelings are valid no matter what - some people only feel useful IN the gaming community, and others it's the opposite but regardless there is no shame in either.

Your language skills are just fine.

I hope you are able to reach out maybe to a therapist and talk through some of these feelings, because no one should feel useless whether it's in a gaming community or in life.  We all have a story, we all have something to share that can make an impact on someone even if we don't think so.

I don't even play the game, simply use it to calculate stuff. I find the game too easy and too unbalanced right now.

I delete account both to make it hard for other people to know what I have posted, if a post is of useful it should be because what is in it, not who wrote it and also because I'm trying to stay away and deleting is probably the most effective way doing so. Given that creating an account is free, it is quite easy to rejoin in the future if I want to write something more.

Nobody read the stuff I post anyway, so I'm not sure what I'm even doing wrong in first place.

If I may.. Could you share your strategy for getting into game on higher difficulties? Is it going down to simple math? Something else? Magic? Witchcractr?

At this moment Civilization  & Humankind difficulties are like impossible challenges for me and lower ones are too easy. So I'm getting frustrated trying. Looked at stuff you've posted, calculations are cool, but I think (might be wrong) not many people will use/ understand them. Still nice job, and observations.

You don't need much strategy other than survive the early game, as the ai poor economic management and thus fall behind. Focus on getting gold era stars may give you enough fame to win the game as the ai don't seems to do a good job at getting fame.

It is possible to play very aggressively and destroy the ai players early on, like in this game.

Less aggressive than before, but you can see the ai fail to keep up beyond early game in terms of fame.

While this was not humankind level, the startegy of focusing on getting all era stars and alot of legendardy deeds can give huge amount of fame, especially than transcending.

If you are looking for humankind level gameplay in video format, I suggest on youtube that you check ColonelUber and ChaffCommander Coffey as those play on that difficulty and also have tutorial and explanation videos in addition to regular gameplay videos.

In the past I did things such as 100% scores on exams and such, now I'm just lazy and sloppy, far from the level I used to be.

No matter how hard I try, I can't feel anything different than feeling useless. So good bye.
