Since I really want to play the game and have already bought it at Stadia, it annoys me all the more that I have to consider whether to buy it a second time
Since no patches are applied to the Stadia version, I thought of Steam here. Unfortunately, my laptop is not the best, which is why I need some help from you.

Do you think that I can somehow play the game with these specs or are there people here who play it with them? I think that the biggest problem will be the GPU...

INTEL Core i7-8565U @ 1.80GHz
INTEL UHD Graphics 620

16GM RAM

Thank you :)

I would not recommend running the game on an integrated GPU.

The minimum specs are :
Processor: Intel i5 4th generation / AMD FX-8300
Memory: 8 GB RAM
Graphics: NVIDIA GTX 770 / AMD R9 290

A GTX 770 can be between 2 to 4 GB of VRAM.

You will need at least 4 GB for the video card, then 8 GB for the game itself and another 4+ for Windows and any other software you are running. You will be able to start the game but you will have 15-20 FPS at best and the game will run really slow in the later Eras due to lack of RAM.

In essence, you are better off looking for a different game streaming service. NVIDIA I think have one operational but I am yet to test it.

Yeah, GeForce Now, Nvidia's cloud gaming service, would be a better option for you I think. Personally, I will just wait for the Stadia updates and play other stuff on Stadia for now.

Hi,

Thanks for the info.
What about the Geforce version?
Are there any disadvantages compared to the Steam version?

And what about patches?

With GeForce Now, you would buy the game on Steam or Epic, and then be able to play it on GFN over the cloud. It will run the PC version, so I assume it has all the patches available to PC, but you should maybe look into it.

For me though, I will just wait for Stadia updates. I used to be a GFN Founder but I canceled the subscription awhile back because I really prefer the experience and cloud-priority approach of Stadia.

As nintindu already Mentioned. You basically play the Steam / Epic version of the game.
Disadvantages:
- You have to choose between the free GeforceNow Model and the Priority Model
Free: Gaming Sessions are limited to 1hr and you have to queue up before you can play. Waiting Times depend on the Games you want to play and how much ppl are already waiting.
Priority: You have to pay 9,99€ / Month and are allowed to play up to 6hrs. You also get priority access in the queue, so you basically also have to wait when enough priority users are waiting.                  RTX is acitvated

A good thing is also that you can play a lot of games you already own by linking your steam / epic account. But because you own them you probably could already play them on your pc.

Not sure on this: GFN is imho limited to 1080p

I prefer the Stadia Model:
Free: Just link your Google Account and play all games you buy on Stadia unlimited and without queue in 1080p 60fps max. You can also play "Free Games" like Destiny 2 without buying them.

Pro: You pay 9,99€ / Month and get access to 4k and 5.1 Sound. And you recieve additional Discounts on Sales.

You can also Claim "Pro Games". Every Month Google adds around 4 "Pro Games" while they remove some of the list. So its almost like XBox game Pass and you can play them as long as you have an active Pro Subscription. The difference is that all Pro Games you claimed will be linked to your account forever. even if they are not longer listed as Pro games.

So even when you claim a game, unsubscribe and return a year later you will be able to play these games.

Not sue on this: If you subscribed to Ubisoft+ you can play there Stadia Games with your Free Stadia account after you have linked it.

The overall technical performance of Stadia is superior to other cloud gaming services.

But be warned,

- the Stadia Libary is relativly small and lacks some of the biggest AAA Titles.

- While some bigger Games were available as Pro games (Jedi Fallen Order, Tomb Raider, Orcs Must Die 3)

- And the Quality of Ports depends on the game Studio. Ubisoft usually delivers good ports while some others dont. Btw. Stadia recieved a lot of love when they were one of the best Platforms to play Cyberpunk when it was released.

To wrap it up:

Just try the services for free and check out if they work for you. As Cloud Services both require a good internet connection. By Linking your account you'll have probably enough games to test on GFN and with your free 1 Month of Stadia Pro you can instantly claim the >20 games that are actually in the Pro pool and test them +Destiny 2 & Hitman. Its also possible that you still get a 10€ discount for your first purchase on Stadia.

Hi Zahn,

Unfortunately, Stadia is no longer an option for me for the reasons mentioned in the first post.

That's why I'm looking for a new and supported platform.
I will test GeforceNow with my existing steam games, but this 1h limit is crap...

Thank you :)
