The Pollution reduction from the Sewage Treatment Plant doesn't feel strong enough, at least not when compared to what you can get on Industry Districts.


Sewage Plant gives -20% on Farming Districts, so with Industrial Silos (+1 Pollution) and Factory Farming (+2) that is still a net of 2.4 pollution per Farmers district.


Compare that with Makers districts where you can get a 90% reduction (from Hydroelectric Dam, Solar Farm, Wind Farm and Nuclear Plant)


So even with all Industry buildings (Coal Plant (+1), Sawmill (+1), Factory (+1), Quarrying Machinery (+2) and Automated Factory (+2)) you can achieve a net of 0.7 pollution per Makers district


Even with things like Financial District (+2), Supercomputer Lab (+2) and Tech Park (+2) added (though you really shouldn't be building those in your Industry-heavy cities) that only gets you to 1.3 pollution per Makers district, which is only slightly more than half of what a Farmers district will produce.


It feels to me that Sewage Plant should give at least a -50% pollution reduction, possibly even -75% to balance this out more. The way it is I hardly ever build Factory Farming or Industrial Silos in my cities (though unfortunately Industrial Silos comes prebuilt if you found a city in the Contemporary Era).

Why not make the whole fresh water line reduce pollution from farmers district. Like -20% or -25% each which would lead to a -60% to -75% reduction with all those built.

The one thing that would be a problem there (That I see) is the issue of EQ Maker-Farmer Quarters.  As is, they can get -110% pollution, making it Bigger would be strange.  Otherwise I think a 50-75% range is good.

A solution would be if the game could treat the farmer and the maker pollution as two separate things, so the maker pollution is only reduced by maker pollution reduction and the farmer pollution is only reduced by farmer pollution reduction.

That would require a massive redoing of all Pollution (although it might help with Fusion power hurting Preserves). Given that it is Only an issue with Barays and Cothons, it’s probably okay to make it -50%.
