Industrial-Era Persians' Caravanserai: Pretty sweet!

Apart from the solid Production and Money output, Caravanserai apply "Swift" to armies sitting on them.  At first I was hoping this might be some sort of mid-movement boost, like a Train Station that units might beeline towards for a bit of free movement. Turns out they only work when an army starts on the square, which I was disappointed with at first, but learned that by redeploying my nation's armies so that they rested on Caravanserai instead of on Garrisons, they became a hugely mobile force.  Now my infantry and mixed armies had a range of 7 squares, and my cavalry armies had a range of 9 squares.  In many cases, they could hop between Caravanserai between turns.

But here's where it gets really nice: That movement increase carries over to

  1. Rail travel between train stations, and
  2. Battle!

So by letting my armies stay rested and supported at what is that era's five-star trade hotels, that spring in their step lets them ride the rails between territories more efficiently, and even move faster in battle; your normally 4-move units become 7-move units, which is pretty stellar.

This is the sort of uniqueness I love in Emblematic Districts.  Thanks for the Caravanserai; I'm a big fan.

To say nothing of the EQ's benefit from trade routes.  Five of these in my intercontinental trade capital made paired nicely with the city's Luxuries Markets.

I have never noticed that. Thank you for bringing it up. I think it will be useful.

Dont forget it acts as both a market and makers districts, so it gets the infrastructure bonuses from both of them. And can be put near Luxuries to also exploit the industry, i really love them as well. They can also combo really well with the Nubian ED which also both Makers and Market and the soviet one as well.

I love all EQs that are multiple districts. Because there are alot of tiles that have multiple potential yields, and the only way to keep them is to have a rather weird district layout (leaving spaces) or use these EQs. Otherwise you have to sacrifice one when you build over it.
