Waow! Just Waow! 900 food per turn from 1 tile only?

Agrarian culture look ridiculous with this combo.

To clarify, Angkor Wat gives you + 1 food per faith. Emblematic district from Spanish civ (early modern era) gives you +1 faith per population. Add Saint Basil Cathedral to get +1 faith per district and your population will sky rocket during early modern era.

I don't know if this was the desired effect, but it seems pretty huge to me.

This is the desired effect however the impact it has is not as significant as you imagine. Currently you can only grow one population per turn, even if you have thousands of surplus food. You also can not export that food to other cities.

While you can do some attaching and detaching of several territories to allow for extra population growth, it will still not be enough to consume all that extra food.

You can however profit by building both Angkor Wat and Machu Picchu, so that at least 50% of your food is added to your other cities.

Has that been fixed (or at least clarified).  Machu Picchu does NOT

-give other cities 50% of the home city's food

Or

-give other cities 50% of the home city's excess food

Instead it looks at the Growth % of the home city (ie growing at 78% of a pop per turn and adds 1/2 that much food to other cities (so 38 food in that case)
