Solved: Humankind: Bug: Battle won't initiate with megacity underneath

As in the title.

I like merging cities into a giga-blob.

Recently I run into a problem in contemporary when 16+ territories city couldn't host a battle.


Of 3 normal options (manual, insta, retreat) I could **click** only retreat.

(Beta 138 and maximus).

Of course I couldn't panic detach territories (of this city) on the other continent to unlock the battle.

Finally I took over neighboring city and lured opponent to it - everything went fine in the small city (1 territory, really.. yeah I did trim it to the bare bone)


I guess it really is a cornercase of a psycho-simcity play, for me quite usual though.


Is it fixable?

Hi Saltytech,

Could you give us more details, as I am not sure if the big city it's part of the problem or not?
Probably we will need the save and diagnostic file as well.

Thank & sorry for late response.


I was on the beta branch.

Since I moved to main the issue has no longer appear so I guess it's fixed :-)


Also I noticed it simply takes a little bit more time to be able to hit a button and get a response (say few seconds). I think it can be clicked when some initial computations of battlefield stats are done (so a player is not enqueuing his decision and wait, but wait first and click).


Either way issue if still present is not blocking and I guess primarily hardware related.
