I browsed through the mods in-game and then subscribed to one.

Got an error, saying that it couldn't download/create the local file

Hey jsurpless,

Unfortunately, the automatic download does not currently work on Mac. We're aware of the problem, though I don't know when it will be fixed.

The good news, though: As far as I know, this affects only the download through the game. If you download a mod manually from mod.io and place the mod folder in the game's "community" folder (should be in the same folder as your save files folder, as far as I know), you should be able to play with mods on a Mac.

Hi

This doesn't seem to work unless I misunderstood your direction - this is what I did with several downloaded mods

Sorry, my instruction were not clear enough. Within the zip file, you should find a folder with the same name as the mod. It is this folder than needs to be placed in the Community folder, like this:

The folder path at the top may not match yours, as I am on Windows. But it looks like you had already found the right community folder. So you just need to open those zip files you already have there, and drag the mod's main folder into your community folder.

That did it, thanks!
