I'm running into an issue. Currently I am running a game with the 14 stars era mod, buy this, and authority and liberty changes. These mods are compatible, and there is no issue playing that game. After saving the game and then reloading Humankind though, I can't seem to play my saved game. I have manually reloaded the mods as instructed, but I am still getting the incompatibility error. Any suggestions?

Could you maybe make a screenshot or tell us what the exact message you receive is?

One of those mods might have updated and currently loading an already started game on an older version of the mod is impossible.

Thanks for the help! Maybe, but I just started this game today. And it doesn't load even after just restarting and trying to load the save file?  Do I need to update mods manually through mod.io or does it install the current version? Here is the error I am getting.

Only thing I know with mods :

- If a mod was updated, your game break.

- each time you load a save-game, you need to activate mods again before.

Can you try to apply the mods in the same order that when you created the game (order in the load menu) and check if works?
