With all due respect, the Fabius Maximus update is, for me, unplayable---i.e. the new district scaling costs undermine the central joy of 4x gameplay, which is: the more you expand and build, the more you can expand and build. With this update, the more you expand and build, the less you can expand and build ... it's breathtakingly bad 4X game design. Just . . . wow . . . incomprehensible-level of "what were you thinking?", even worse than the pollution system.

I gave the update a real shot, and played through several map configurations. The game is just no longer fun to play. Most of my turns were spent with troops sitting around (because the AI empires are completely dead after having their army wiped---who has 20 turns to build another single 4-unit army?), and cities endlessly building a handful of quarters. On Endless speed, on my first turn of the Classical Era at turn 87 (having achieved 18 stars in Ancient), the next district in my capital was going to take 18 turns to build. So, not only did the scaling district costs *not* fix the problem of Nomad & Ancient going by way too fast, they then run the game into the ground, where I was looking at building 4 things in my capital over 80 turns. *yawn*

At least pre- Fabius Maximus, the game was fun up until the Early Modern Era.

So, please. Please.  Give us a roll-back option so we can play prior versions of the game.

If I could roll-back to the last version of the game, I would be playing it right now.

Instead, I am here begging for a way to have fun with this game as I resist the urge to just uninstall it and move on.

The patch has some very nice features and also solve so many bugs.

But alas, Collective Minds isn't nerf, and the building cost is problematic for so many players.

Hopefully, they also gave us a beta version of the mod tool. 

So you already have a choice of differents mods for helping about that.
