So, I saw there's been an update, and it seems that from my playthroughs, I already unlocked almost all of the new abilities for my avatar. Nice stuff like "+2 movement on units" or "+20% production on city". But it just does nothing. I tried a lot of stuff, even the "+100 Gold at start". But I didn't get any gold at the start when I build my first city. I just began the game with 0 gold as regular.

So ... what do I do wrong? How can I use my abilities? Help please.

What you said. But I have to ask : why ? The AI personas have their... personas. Why can't you go with your's ?

As you said, the game is not clear at all with this, and it was very confusing to me at first.

I don't really mind it, I don't think player really needs them, while they spice up AIs quite a bit.

What I'd love to have is an ability to be done with a Persona and moving to another one, gaining a new AI opponent in the process, even if we'd have limited slots for those. I'd sure like to start experimenting with my avatar, but I'm just a flawed human being, I got attached and getting rid of them completely to make another one just doesn't feel right.

We made a mod that allows people to create, name, and use as many Personas (aka, Avatars) as they want. You can use any Persona you made in your own game, and you can share them with other people if you wish. You do not need to be online or connected to a website to use the Personas you made or that you downloaded from other people.
