there are indigenous people in the Philippines who have folks called that, but apart from that I didn't really find anything or how dreaming relates to pushing your production from strip mines even higher.

Australia's indigenous spiritual belief is rooted in the Dreamtime. A time so long ago it is only remembered in people's dreams.

But if that's what the game means, then it would be seen as an enormous insult by Australia's indigenous communities. The Dreamtime is about the creation of the World, and stewardship over the land in harmony with flora and fauna.

yea, a reference to dreaming is what I thought of as well, but dream weaving in particular isn't anything I found a reference to. And I really do hope that it was not meant as a reference to it, because it would just be a massive insult on so many levels, from the fact that that "dreaming" is an outdated mistranslation to the fact that the trait is about extending the effect of a quarter that is about destroying the very land the indigenous people live on, off, and hold sacred.

Hello,

Just wanted to share with you that this is not something we wanted. Using the word Dream (as reference as dreaming or dreamtime that was used by the Australia’s Indigenous communities), and mines was a mistake. We are looking different options to address this.

Not to mention the incredible irony of appropriating this indigenous belief in a game that is obviously so Western-centric.

May I suggest you call it "Corrupt Liberal Govt Policy"? Because that's what our current Liberal Govt is doing. Denying climate change and land destruction, whilst paying miners to rip everything out before they lose power next election. :(

Also, thank you for responding and taking our indigenous cultures into consideration. The Dreamtime really is an amazing cultural experience.

I think a reference to Utilitarianism would be a good basis for an alternative name.

Since it is an increase to industrial output, perhaps it should be called "Hard yakka": '“Hard yakka” means work hard. The word “yakka” – which first appeared in the 1840s – derives from the word for work (yaga). It comes from Yagara, an Indigenous language in Australia.'
