Too pixelated, low res artwork for units and infrastructure compared to original artwork

Hello,


Stunning artworks are one of the best things about Humankind. 

Yet, playing on 1440p (a resolution with a sufficient pixels to show finer details), I've noticed all of the 2d artworks for units and infrastructure are too low resolution, pixelated.

This is not the case for the culture artworks (on the culture picking screen) that are high resolution and perfectly fine.

The original artworks are actually authored in high resolution (as visible on e.g. ArtStation), but for some reason the in-game version is poor quality.

Look at the details on the rifle for example, completely burnt and jagged on the in-game version, very crisp on the original artwork (you might not be able to see this on a 1080p screen, try zooming-in)

See how lower resolution the artwork is, how jagged the lines are, the loss of detail on the drone lights, ... (you might not be able to see this on a 1080p screen, try zooming-in) 


I don't understand why the exceptional artwork of Humankind has been degraded like that when added to the game!

Really? I have to say I can no longer tell what is serious and what is trolling anymore these days. If there is a priority level of 0-10 for things Humankind needs to fix, 0 being the lowest prio, this is like 0.01. Maybe when we have fixed all the bugs, balanced cultures, balanced all units, added some needed techs and units, improved the AI (even more than it has been) and done 100 other things we can move on to your high res icons.

To each their own. Additionally, your understanding of priorities is incredibly flawed. Different people on a team work on different topics. The art team, or the interface team, are not going to work on balancing the cultures or coding AI anyways. Those are different skillsets, and this artwork report doesn't compete with the fixes you mentioned.


Finally, claiming that this is unimportant is insulting for the Humankind artists who used great skill to craft those stunning artworks.

Indeed, artists have working files that have higher resolution for our assets compared to the exported files the game uses.
