Is there any chance we could get a feature similar to the victory conditions but instead you can choose to have eras stop at a certain point? This way you can have ancient civilizations or classical only battles. Have truly epic wars for ancient eras, I think it would be really fun to have this sort of game mode especially for online matches with friends.

Yeah I really want this as well. I think I would end it at era 4 though. I want musket only warfare lol

I think alot of the starting options available in Civ VI would also be applicable here.

So your idea is one of my top interests.

Someone else has also recommended to be able to select what cultures and how many are available in each era.

And a selection for what wonders are available.

All of these are available in Civ, but of course it took Civ a long time to add them in.

That gave me a idea too. Imagine if we could lock it too 5 cultures of our choosing each era and the others have to ascend. So the top 5 get to choose a new culture and bonuses. Would be very interesting.

There’s presently a mod that allows you to bypass the first 4 eras and basically play the whole game in the Industrial Era. I’ve seen a few requests for Early Modern versions of this, so a modder may work on it at some point.
