Tooltip says that new wonder Great Mosque of Djenne should provide you with this new constructible, whatever it is. But I can't find it anywhere? Humankind Encyclopedia doesn't list this effect and has nothing on Crepissage either.

P.S. For whatever reason I also can't attach images. What's going on, web-team?

It´s strange that is not listed on the encyclopedia (Crepissage). I mentioned to the team and we are working on a solution ^-^

Can someone give me an example of how this works? Also, can someone show me how to see what ceremonies my city has built?

The +2% fame bonus is the same as if you would upgrade your culture into the next era where you gain +10% fame bonus.

This fame bonus applies to everything that gives you fame, be it wonders, events, deeds or era stars.

Example: if you have done the ceremony 3 times it will increase fame gain by 6% (3 times 2%).

Afaik, the total fame bonus is nowhere to be seen.

Thanks. Whoever is in charge of the descriptions on the tool tips "effects" needs a group of average level intelligence testers to tell them what they can and cannot understand by the text per each one that the roll over tooltip shows on the completed cities constructable tiles....

ie the tool tips are horribly confusing....

Also, that seems like it could be a little over powered.

Hello,

I won't dive into technical details, tooltips are more complex than they seem.

What is wrong according to you with the wording of this specific tooltip?

There are lots of confusing language for someone new to this game, I just got it 2-3 weeks ago. What I have been having problems with the Crepissage "effects" description, and most other descriptions for that matter, is the ambiguity of them. So for example:

Crepisssage

+2% Additional Fame gain bonus multiplier per Number of the same Public Ceremony on Empire.

First of all, all the other Public Ceremonies have Effect definitions that are short and simple; +5 Food, +4 Money, +5 Science. The only one I am not sure of is "+5 Faith on Holy Site" is that every holly site? If you look at the Crepissage, it probably should just say "+2% Additional Fame" if you follow the other short tooltip examples. I would prefer "+2% Additional Fame bonus" as I would prefer something like "+5 Additional Food per turn" etc...

What really confused me though was "per Number of the same Public Ceremony on Empire." what does that even mean? "per Number" number of what? Why is Number capitalized? "of same Public Ceremony" Are you saying if I have multiple cities and they all have the "same Public Ceremony"? "on Empire."?!? what? Is "Empire" a specific difficulty level?

So I understood it, because it didn't follow the other Public Ceremonies "Effects" logic, that if I had multiple cities (per Number) in the EMPIRE (on Empire) and they all or some had the "same Public Ceremony" (2 cities both had +5 food ceremonies) then you would get, for each matching Public Ceremony an additional 2% Fame bonus multiplier.

Breaking it down this way, I would probably guess this was written by a programmer who thinking in a programming language and not common English.

Hey @jdelcore,

We understand that the Crepisssage effect could create some confusion to some players and we will look into it.

Regarding the +5 Faith on Holy Site is on the Holy Sites on that city, so if you have 3 Holy sites then it will be +15

I recommend getting someone who is experienced with PC gamers and has an English background to read and fix the confusing definitions and come up with a more intuitive way to teach the player about the game. I LOVE this game!!! It really is a masterpiece and I have played ALL the Civ games for 1,000's of hours. There is just this beautiful way that your game progresses with so many great game design elements, some I would consider genius, and it flows like exceptional games should. But then I get stuck at these really stupid, easy to fix, super cheap things that break that immersion and make me want to smash my keyboard after 2 hours of googling and only finding super out of date posts or nothing at all....

It feels like you spent millions of dollars on genius game design, development and programming, then, for whatever reason, have zero budget for explaining to the player how to play or even worse leave it to each separate team to come up with there own how too's and having no standard a new player can understand.

OK sorry, it really is an amazing game.

^^ I second this. It really is an amazing game. AMAZING.
But, some of the ways the concepts are explained (if at all) often leave me going to the Humankind wiki website on Fandom instead of the encyclopedia because the explanations online are far more thorough.

Take Crespissage for example. I go into the HK encyclopedia - nothing. I go to Fandom, bang, there it is.

The encyclopedia needs work, a lot of work as this should be the gamers go to, but it isn't, at least not for me.

When a game is so complex and I struggle to find answers to my questions, I tend to just stop playing.. it's too much effort and sometimes I don't truly understand wtf is happening, unless I put the research into understanding the mechanics.

Your target audience are intellectuals, people who have a job, responsibility, a life. When I find the time to play a video game, I want to play it as much as I can, not research externally why I something in the game doesn't make sense because it is either poorly explained on lack there of. A lot of stuff isn't in the encyclopedia, which should be, and finding an answer should be a 10 second exercise, but it isn't, and it get frustrating.

Same issue today. I used to think that the issue was the italian translation (I'm italian) but the english is missleading in the same way.

Reading this discussion I understood that there is some kind of "global fame modifier" that apply to every fame gain (e.g. "Cultural wonders", although the most common way to gain fame is stars) that is IMHO set at +0% at game start.

For every repetition of crepissage this modifier goes up by 2% so, for example, if I did 2 times the crepissage and I did the Transcendence in the previous era (AFAIK this bonus doesn't stack if you do more than once during eras) this global bonus will be 14%.

Is that right?
