So after you research wheels and create roads between your cities and outpost your units tend to use less movement points and get way further than normal.

But it feels like that bonus disappears after some time and units start moving like before roads. Even after researching Supply Lines they stay slow. Am i missing something or why are units getting slower despite of roads?
