What if we fail as a community to unlock the last stretch goal ?

It all started on January 19, 2022. The Amplified event.

A deluge of tantalizing gifts and rewards, an endless flow of new content to suit all tastes. All of this thanks to the hard work of a dedicated studio team.

As nights and days went by, and streams and devblogs copiously released, you feverishly decided to play more and more games, step by step unlocking stylish features.

Today, you're faced with a tough choice, as the number of connections is stalling. With only twenty-four hours left, now is the time to decide what should be the end of this great event.

What is your choice ?

  • Should you just give up now, and claim all that has already been rewarded, leaving the last step untouched ?

Or

  • Should you try one more time until tomorrow to fill in this tiny and thin grey line ?

Well, who would benefit if they don't prolong the time to reach to goal or just give the wonder away nonetheless?

It has been designed and is ready to go, it's thematically connected to the Africa DLC, what good would it do to keep it in a drawer?

It's unlikely that failing the intended timeline for the stretch goal will result in the reward not being handed out or the time being extended. As Siptah said, there's no benefit to anyone for the wonder not being rewarded.

It would be cheeky if, as a "penalty", they'd add a random event with it for workers missing the deadline, resulting in some progress for the wonder construction being lost (and some alternative options resulting in minor debuffs instead).

Neat idea !

"With the construction of the Church, the great city of Axum is now flourishing more than ever. Sadly, reports from all around bring bad news : there's a shortage of construction materials. The people of Axum, most of whom are believers, are now gathering around the construction site, praying and pleading, doing whatever they can to ward off this misfortune".

Interestingly enough, wikipedia's page says the Church has been destroyed and rebuilt at least twice. This would also make a nice chain of events.

The only options are to keep trying or give up?  Not to nitpick, but you left out the "build a botnet", "post jobs on Fiverr", and "room full of monkeys and gaming PCs" options.  /sarcasm

In all seriousness, it looks like there's around 35k connections left with around 16 hours to go so I think we'll make it.  (SteamDB says that there are about 3700 players across all 3 eligible games right now.)  If not, they've extended the deadline once already which makes me think that they would probably just call it "close enough" and include the wonder anyway since the content has already been developed.  They could of course also decide to release it as a paid minor DLC, but I don't think that would be a popular option with the fans.

It was honestly really hard to find any information on this challenge and the rules (the challenge progress info is hidden in the Amplitude Studios forum, and what you have to do to fill the meter was buried in a blog post or two) so I would argue that we would probably be a bit further along had there been more visibility for the challenge and how to participate.  So Amplitude probably owes a few extra progress points for that detail alone.

It's done, 1 034 893 players!

Anyone got an idea what to do, to get this ingame? I still only have this entry in the HK menu under content management with the "not installed" and "not owned".

Or need I just be a nice young padawan and learn patience? ;)

They'll likely release it sometime soon in the future!
