I've noticed moving up a difficulty level I'm having even more fun as the game feels tighter. I'm struggling to get more outposts down early on and claim enough territory - it's great. I just wonder if its my imagination or something I've done differently this play through.

Does the cost of an outpost change when moving up difficulties? Or maybe does the discovery reward give you less influence?

Difficulty affects the a.i in terms of how many FIMSI they are generating each turn—from the start of the game, at least starting in Ancient era, where neolithic likely just gives them more Tribes to move around in turn one. SPEED, affects FIMSI costs for every player regardless.

Not have the specific if the cost of outpost change with the difficulty, but it´s based on how far is from your territory 

ok thanks. It's possible it seems different because I created a city early. I think the outpost cost would be lower if I'd waited longer to create a city. I'm having so much fun with this game, I really hope they continue to support it and add a few expansions
