This is probably not the right place, and someone has probably already answered the quesiton somewhere (have I missed the "search" function?).

Is it possible to merge cities with gold? The price in (stars, sorry, the exact word is evading my mind at this exact moment) is just outrageous, and I'm not sure to comprehend how to lower it, or slow down the inflation.

Using google, I find posts before lunch, sometime in November I think, that hint at the possibility but I have not found a definitive answer, as of yet.

Thank you.

Gold coins are only for viewing. They just tell you that there is such a thing in the system。Memorial population, too.

a tip, it is better for an independent nation to merge with an independent nation city, which will bit cheaper.

If you merge with your own city, it will be a geometric variable。

As an aside, although you win AI in the end, you will never win the system. You can never produce one thing in a turn, because the game system always changes according to your value. Even if you use mod to add 10000 production to yourself。

In each round, you see that your production is increasing, but your building list is still 2 round. sometimes overflow, you can drop to 1.5round.

You thought you were going to get the butter, but you didn't

Mergers do not give intuitive benefits.

Due to the game coefficient, the -25% production of the pyramid is also meaningless

Yes, you can take a civic choice that will allow you to use gold instead of influence for merging cities as well as adding outposts and outpost creation.

The cost for merging 2 cities together will vary depending on how close they are in infrastructure. So it will be cheaper to merge 2 cities that have the exact same infrastructure built.
