Is there any way to disable some of the Twitch Drops personas?

Wasn't really sure where to put this thread, because it isn't really an idea nor is it a bug (I think).

As in title, watching Amplitude streams I got all the Streamer Personas in one bag, but I don't see how I could disable/remove some that I'm not really interested in playing against, aside of, I guess, disconnecting game from G2G which brings out its own bag of issues. Of course I could just handpick my opponents, but playing against random ones is part of the fun and just rolling the dice on my side takes the surprise of discovering who's on the other continents away.

It would be nice if we had finer control over which persona to include in a game.

I might like a person from G2G but not want to necessarily include them in every game

So I'm assuming no dice.

Great, can we at least get their names to display as they do in Twitch Drops tab? With all respect to alphabets other than Latin, I have hard time remembering who my opponents are if I can't even spell their name out. I'll live with more outlandish names, though it really doesn't feel right to say 'here's Gilgamesh, he's plotting against you, here's Poe, he's a bit gloomy, here's Boudicca, treat her with honor and she'll do the same... and here's 2DKiri and The Spiffing Brit, you can catch them on Twitch and YouTube".

Come to think about it, I just wouldn't mind disabling them all, at least until I feel like playing against streamers, but this also cannot be done without disconnecting from G2G and that impairs the game which is, *chef's kiss*, wonderful system.

Fingers crossed for Ibn Battuta to reincarnate and visit this thread.

Hopefully this gets adressed. At the begginning it was fun playing against the streamers, but now that we have more personas (thanks to events and some friends picking up the game) I would prefer to disable at least some of the streamers so when I randomize my opponents they don't show up to the party.

Guess what minor thing I'd still like to have in the game?

Fingers crossed for patch after Metternich.

Is there a way now to remove the stupid streamers from the AI persona list? When setting up a game with random opponents, they keep appearing. It is particularly annoying (even more when you know the game added them without your consent).

I've got a reply from dev on the Idea I posted about it, so it's not like they're completely ignoring it. I imagine it wasn't something on their mind between major rework and console release, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed about it, or maybe even a more major rework for Personas that would allow us to set up a couple by ourselves (one can dream).

Please allow me to deactivate specific personas I don't want!

Some of the streamer personas are pretty cool, but many of them I don't like at all, and they ruin my gaming experience.

I've suggested a system that would allow for this, and a variety of extra interactions and customisation here. It would be a complicated system to implement, I'm sure, but I think it's worth posting here, so that people in the thread here can see it.

That's a bit more advanced then what I had in mind, but yes, it sounds good.

Looking back at the game, even before release, when it was brought up and we theorized about how it would work, I'm comfortable saying that Persona system is the only bit that for me is a disappointment in HK. I am not a fan of the pseudo-multiplayer idea they went with, but the fact that there's no way to make our own leaderS (the plural is important here) and that we're stuck with some non-immersive personas if we want to expand the roster (or if we made a mistake of redeeming twitch drops) is just leaving a bad taste in my mouth.

I haven't touched customization options basically since shortly after release, when I got my achievements for strengths and weaknesses. I won't be sharing that persona, because that's not 'DNLH'. I won't be customizing them further or starting from scratch, because I already got attached and I won't send them to the abyss now. I just wish I could name them, set them as an opponent and create a new one, otherwise, this whole bit of the game, which marketing leaned on, is dead for me.

Sorry for the rant, this isn't exactly what this thread was all about, but I do wish we could get a major improvement on how this whole thing works.

There was a mod that allowed to edit our own personas, upload them (one by one) and then import them in our pool of personas. Alas, I have updated my rig and lost sight of this mod (OS change, full reset). It was not on mod.io, it was another site (small one) made by a passionate.

So the good news is that with some tinkering there is a way to customize our persona pools (with some time and commitment).

EDIT: Found it! Here : https://gc2021.com/showthread.php?tid=54

But for me the most important/urgent topic is first to give us a way to get rid of the streamers! What were they thinking with this "feature" honestly.. for breaking immersion they could not have made worse.

I don't want to read too much into this or get my expectations too high, but they've hinted in last stream (Oceania cultures launch stream : https://www.twitch.tv/amplitudestudios/v/1922774676?sr=a&t=10169s) that the next update will most likely focus on improvements that "don't fit in a big theme" (such as trade or naval gameplay), along with QoL features/improvements.

I'm fairly confident that the Personna system and the way the player can interact with it in the game has been put on Devs "to-do" list, given how popular a rework /or improvement of the system is on the forum - this thread being a good example.

I think we should take Devs at their words and comment, upvote, bump any related post/thread/idea, so that odds that these features are finally implemented will be a thing for the next update.
