Annoying "war support bomb" disrupting conflict / to be fixed in Bolivar ?

Hello,

I have witnessed a pattern where, in the course of a war, the AI opponent receives a sudden and massive inflow of war support, potentially resetting his bar at 100 while he was a few turns away from capitulating.

The latest occurrence of this phenomenon was related to the (alleged) "cancellation of X trade lines" which resulted in a whopping + 200 (!!) war support in a single turn. Which is all the less comprehensible if these were the result of me taking a city.

I doubt this is WAD, hence it could benefit from a fix in the upcoming Bolivar update since it revolves around war and war support.

Thanks

Them geting any form of Grievance will give them warsuport. Pilaging there trade will give them lot's of them.
If they have the religion boost to
Grievance's it's even more.

You can still end the war fast, by occupying all there citys

Thanks for your message.

Well aware of what you describe. My concern her his twofold ;

1/ I did not pillage anything, only captured a city. At the very least the origin of these grievances was not clear at all

2/ the absurd disproportion of the figures we're talking about ; flipping from "edge of surrendering" to "100 WS" in one turn should not be possible especially if the reason is a mysterious looting of trade lanes.

Perhaps a cap per turn of grievances that can be triggered while in conflict ?

I thunk just simply removing warsuport gain in conflict from stuff that is not directly conflict related is the best solution.

Currently you see this mechanic used, to pump up AI war suport thill the player has enough warsuport to force them to become a subject

This seems like a bug, especially since you say you didn't ransack anything but in fact captured a city which should further decrease their war support. Where/How could your adversary gain war support in such proportions?

I reloaded and indeed it did not reoccur. Definitely a bug, but not the first time it happens.

Hey, hope is not happening again, BUT if it is the case, it would be helpful if you create a bug report with the save + diagnostic files, so the team can take a look as well
