I just wanted to share how disappointed I am with Amplitude becoming a new Activision. I have been a fan since the very beginning and I have pre-ordered Humankind and both the first DLC the first day it went out (wven tho I knew I won’t be able to play for 2 weeks) with the plan to buy every expansion that comes out. Today with the release of the second DLC, Amplitude removed regional pricing thus increased the price of DLCs by 600%. I am disappointed that you guys eneded up being just another greedy company and this is where I split my road with Amplitude and Humankind.

It's really sad that they're doing this. I was surprised too with the absurd price tag. It's simply impracticable to buy 6 cultures and a few things for 1/3 of the full game price. Amplitude please re-think this!

It's very possible that this was a mistake.  A lot of bugs slipped out today (Games2Gether was down for several hours; the latest version of HK says "Trial Version" in the corner, etc.), so it's possible regional pricing was unintentionally inactivated somewhere along the publishing stream.  (And speaking of publishing, Sega is the publisher, not Amplitude, so I think it would be their decision in the end, which I'm still hoping was a mistake)

I have to assume what Sirus said holds some truth as to when I went to buy it after work, it had returned to its regular price (10 CAD for me), and Steam was giving an additional 10% that price.

This is a problem with Steam. The steam store has been having issues with regional pricing removed in multiple areas in the past few days in many different games. People are so quick to blame the developers.... They're ultimately at the mercy of Valve's hosting of Steam. Maybe you should make a ticket with them instead

Everything Amplitude does recently is full of bugs. It's who they are now.

At least you can buy the game. Players from Russia have been deprived of this opportunity, we now have to look for a pirated version of the game.

I fully understand you and I am sorry that the west is punishing Russian people for the actions of your government but it isn’t a much better situation. Why would I pay 60% of the game price for a culture pack? It’s insane. I can buy an AAA game for the same amount of money.

Hey there! Do you mind telling me which region is concerned by this issue, so we can investigate?

Brazil as well. Price went from BRL 16 (Africa DLC) to BRL 50

I agree with OP, but is wrong to believe that shouldn't be or would not be the price for a DLC for this game.

The game itself is already overpriced, money that poorly goes to development of the game, going mostly to "not E3" shows and streamers (to glamourize the game and bash CIV VI).

This is a bad 4X game, you should try to expend better your money on real 4X games to help the 4X community, Old World is far better game than this one, but if you looking for sheeps running away from your mouse cursor you should stick with this one.

Not only sheep, but all small animals and people

Also if you zoom in you can hear them too (plus hear other sounds and find some easter eggs on the terrain).

Yeah, I love zooming in to hear the wilderness and cities; I should do that more.  I didn't know they interacted with your cursor though.  Very neat.

Hey everyone,

I've received confirmation that we'll look into the prices in these regions to adjust them. Unfortunately, it will take some time before the changes can take effect, so I need to ask you to be patient for now.

Thank you for your attentive response!

I'm waiting for the change to buy the new DLC, but I'm already happy because you have been so sensitive to this matter and others involving the game development as well!

Hi!

Is there any expected date to make the price changes for Brazil region?

I'm waiting for this to buy the DLC since I couldn't grab one for* free and the current price is way above my planned budget.

Thank you!
