I've never ever seen these events before, and I'm curious if that might be related to the way I play.

Nice!  (esp. Rainbow Nation and A More Perfect Union)


Secondly, all of them except for A Nation's Shame have %DLCHiddenTitle at the top, in contrast to the two released packs, so it's possible these events haven't shipped yet but will be a part of the next DLC.

Ooh, interesting. Wonder if they backed away from those because they don't want to further anger people mumbling 'it's called MANKIND' on Steam forums.


What those events tell me is rewards and costs should at least to some degree scale with per-turn income, stockpile and number of cities involved, rather than be fixed prices. Because on one hand you have Tainted Waters that hits you with a cost of 1000 when I have maybe ~25 per turn production and then you have something in Industrial or Contemporary that asks 500 or so to avoid negative consequences when it's barely a scratch in per turn income, much less the coffers, making the choice a no-brainer.

Agreed, I would like for event costs/benefits to scale more with your empire or the city in question to make those events a bigger dilemma.


Aside: It looks like those %DLCHiddenTitle labels disappeared overnight.

There is geo-blocking active for these events, meaning they only appear if you live in specific countries.

Is there a way to disable that?  I am in the US and can understand how hostile certain factions here can be to anything that seems strange or different (guns aren't scary though....) 


 I would love to have these events pop up and it's really shitty to think that we are moving back on the spectrum from progress to tradition AND away from liberty.


I try to play my own games the other way around.  Like the late game event says, videogames can be a tool for learning.

Hey there, wild Narrative Designer here,


In case you're curious, here are the in-game conditions for this event chain to trigger:

- be in Era 6

- have no ongoing war

Keep in mind that once an event is triggered, the game prevents other event chains from triggering for 3 to 8 turns (random). Moreover, if multiple events are available, the game will randomly pick one of them, while the rest of the events will have to wait 3-to-8-turns for another chance to be selected.


Now, if anyone wanted to edit these events to alter their category (and therefore remove both the "3-to-8-turns-wait" and the "just a chance to be picked"), here are their IDs:

- NarrativeEvent_Regular96 --> "Rainbow Nation"

- NarrativeEvent_Regular97 --> "A More Perfect Union" (consequence to "Rainbow Nation" )

Oriolie, is the previous comment about this event chain being locked in some regions correct?  I'm in the US and haven't seen this one pop up, but admittedly I've spent a lot more time in earlier eras (as sometimes you get to industrial and think.... I'm not spending another 2 hours to make it to 5th place lol) and may just not have come across this chain quite yet.

My hope is that it's possible to trigger the event chain, even after session-end conditions have been fulfilled. Otherwise, the AI currently rushes to end the session far too quickly for my current pace.


Also hoping that the event chain isn't region locked as mentioned earlier.

I think the problem is what Oriolie mentioned

Because I didn´t see it that much neither.
