I have been able to trigger this deed in other games, but in my current game it doesn't seem to trigger. Could someone please tell me the exact unlock condition?
I tried building a train station in 2 cities on the same continent, each station within the territory of its city. I even tried placing the stations only on the city's main territory. But still nothing. Does anybody have any idea?
It just unlocks when you connect two neighbour cities with two train stations. In my previous game one station was built in main territory of one city while the second one was on the outer territory of the adjacent city; they don't have to be both in main territories.
IIRC, they have to connect and for this to happen, they have to be in neighbouring territories - that being said, I'm not sure what's the rules for territories being neighbours by impassable tiles.

To the Devs: Please clarify the description for the Trainspotter Deed. Somethin like:
Build a railway line between two adjacent territories belonging to two neighboring cities.
I just bought the game and have the same problem. I have 5 cities on a continent and first connected the ones far apart, then each city after that. Despite eventually every city being connected and all are neighbours of one another, I didn't trigger the deed. The game's been out there for such a long time and this bug isn't yet resolved, what a pity.
