This game has a problem,at least in the standard speed,the game pace is still too fast.So I have an idea basically from Total War:Warhammer3, adding crisis to slow the pace.
Could be interesting as an optional setting, expansion, or something like it.
Maybe something akin to Stellaris having a mutual input toward production of something, or contributions to a mutual fund, that kind of thing?
A 'pandemic' event may be served well by science, and a crisis a la world hunger may be served well with food. Not really my kind of system, to be honest, but I can see why it'd be interesting, and how you may start to implement something like it.
Honestly my biggest issues is that the game is too easy. The hardest difficulty should be a challenge, it used to be challenging. I only play multiplayer now because the computer was dumbed down.
