I'd like to ask about one thing, that I don't quite understand. Sometimes I get hints, where to put a new outpost in a region, sometimes I don't and I have to manually hover mouse over each tile to determine, which one gives me the most of food and production. Why is that? Isn't it supposed to highlight the most profitable field each time? Or does it mean, that there is no point putting an outpost in this region? It's really annoying to manually check each field if I want to find the best place for a new outpost.

We indeed show only the most profitable tile in a range (I think we limit ourselves to the tiles in a 2 turn range from the unit), but we also only show tiles that have over certain "score".
When we don't show any tile it means that we don't find any tile extremly profitable, it doesn't mean you should not establish here but that the position is not that important FIMS wise (the score only take the fims in account).
We could maybe lower this score a bit though, now that I see it I find it a bit too high myself.
I think it should give at least the best places for the current territory, even if it is (very) low. Not doing so, players will manually check, which is cumbersome.

Thanks a lot for this clarification. Could you please make it so, that it displays always the most profitable fields in each region like @Cure_off says? It would really make life of me and my friends playing Humankind much easier and I think it has more sense than a specific score.
Agreed. Maybe showing the best tile(s) in the units' current territory and adjacent territories. We know another territory might give us better yields, but often we just want this one for now. :)
I concur. I’d probably always show the best tile(s) in the current territory and additionally better ones in other territories when they are in a certain range.
To add to that, I’d love to see the possibility to preview your possible outpost locations even if you currently do not have enough influence or the army is in a region where you cannot build an outpost.
Agreed. From a UI point of view, it might not be too hard to make this change either, unlock the "Create Outpost" button at all times (even in territory where an outpost or city already exists) and block us from creating an outpost when we hover over specific tiles, instead of blocking us when we begin the process.
These are great suggestions that I would love to see as well. Often I want to set up an outpost in the specific territory but don't get the suggestion for that territory
I had the same problem in my recent games, so I went into the forums to see whether there are any posts about this, and thus I found this thread here. Is there any news about this getting changed anytime soon? Would be really great! :)
