I really like this agreement because sometimes a culture is not appropriate for your game situation, but you really love their EU. :)

But I'm not sure if it *replaces* your option. Is this true?

For example, I made an arms agreement with Maurya, and now I can build their Samnahya elephant archer. However, I cannot build regular archers anymore. Is this intended?

Secondly, in this same game, I was Egypt so I have the Markabata chariot archers, and when I signed an arms agreement with Taino, now they will upgrade into the Baira Hunter, and not the Samanya like the wiki says. In my citeis, I can build both Samnahya and Baira Hunter.

Can anyone explain in more detail what the intended upgrade paths and choices are? Shouldn't there be a choice what you want to upgrade to?

I have a question as well. I signed an arms deal agreement with the Swahili, and it did say I would have access to the mtepe, but all of my units still embarked normally. Are naval transports not covered under the deal?

Hey there:

- @Arachnodork  As a general rule you'll have to reach the technology that unlock the Special unit first, and of course to be in the right era. (are you in medieval era like the swahilli are?)

- @Dayvit78  Normally it shouldn't upgrade your regular units automatically, it's a known issue we should have normally fixed in the next upcoming patch (that might be on a beta branch really soon and available in a few days - stay tuned ^^)

@benblond I am indeed in the medieval. I thought it might be a little bit different, since as far as I know there is no tech req for the Swahili unique.

ok, I've asked the designers, and it turns out that it does work with maritime unit (like stealth corvette - swedes/era 6) but not with maritime transport. It's only for the units you can queue in your construction queue.

We will add this precision in the arms deal tooltip

Thanks a lot for the feedback ^^

No problem! I thought that might be the case. The bonus did feel a little bit too good to be true. :D

Nevertheless, since you've mentionned it this morning, we are discussing with the programmers if there would be a way to do so ^^

Oh, thanks.  The Swahili Mtepe and Norse Langskip are such neat units, it'd be great if they could be covered under the Arms Deal.  Good luck to your programmers!

Normally the issue of your units being automatically updated as the Emblematic Ones you've got access to through the Arms Deal should be solve in the next patch, which will be available normally by th end of the day on a beta Branch, before being released next week. So you will be able if you want to test it quite soon ;)

There will be other big improvements as well in this patch ^^
