IP from free city

If i free a city, i can create an IP. The IP is named like Rebel of my Empire.


Will these IP roam in my country and ransack or are they friendly?

Will these IP grow in thechnology, so if i create an early "friend". Can i keep this "Friend" until lategame, while they are getting stronger?

Is a multisector IP stronger than a singlesector IP? Or is it better to have 2 IP instead?


Is it possible to defend an IP if it gets attacked by an Empire?

- Depends on the Independent People, there are friendly ones and others more aggressive.

- If you "invest on them" you can turn them into a Client State which will make that they won´t disappear.
For the being stronger I think that yes, but slow, compared to you, but not 100% here.


You can keep your troops near them to protect them, but its not like an alliance with them or some other mechanism to protect them (this is something that we have seen that is requested by the community)

The author was asking specifically about Independent People who come from our own liberated cities.  I think these are naturally friendly to us, but are you saying there's a chance they may be hostile?

Yes please, attacking a Client State should require declaring war on the "parent" empire.
