Sometimes I'll open a thread on lunch break or when I have a few minutes between other things and find the thread is more detailed and interesting than I was expected. I'd love to mark it as "unread" to come back to it later.  Is there a way to do this?

Mh... What about following it?

Having a dedicated action would surely be better though.

That is something that you can do.

For the unread, do you think it is valuable when you have the follow thread? (I know it can have other uses, just wondering)

I feel "mark as unread" might be helpful because following only gives me updates when it's an active conversation, and I'd like to mark things as unread when I'd like to come back to them later even (especially!) when it's a quiet thread without a lot of activity.  For example, some people create enormously long ideas that tend to not have a lot of activity because there's a big buy-in to reading it all before taking part, and I might want to save that reading for later -- but I don't know it's going to be one of those until I open it.
