Unit Customization Based on Culture

As it states, please, please please please don't neglect unit templates. Amplitude has the power to completely reshape the way 4X games will forever be designed (once again), and I promise you that it won't just be because "woah you can build the Pyramids as Germany!"


But my focus right now is just on unit templates, my draw to all the Endless games was always centered around the fact that I could make innumberable amounts of hull/troop designs for whatever purposes I need. I shouldn't have to express how absolutely amazing it would be to still keep that freedom in Humankind, especially if it was tied into the adapting culture mechanics.

For example, instead of just having cookie-cutter Egyptian soldiers turn into cookie-cutter Roman legions, let ME design what my Egyptian soldiers look like, then, when I get to the Romans, let ME design what my legions look like; and, because I was the Egyptians earlier, maybe give me certain ancestral accoutrements to equip to my legions, giving them some kind of Egyptian-Roman flair.

Please for the love of God don't just settle for "good enough," Amplitude studios was so ground-breaking with their game design in Endless Legend, that they alone forever reshaped the way Civilization games were designed (*cough* districts *cough*). All I want is to see them do it again, and I feel that the unit templates is such a key, important part of gameplay from this studio that it'd be an immense oversight to leave it out for this title.
