Resolution of a war with several empires

When several empires including you are at war with another empire and it loses its last city, its war support drops to 0 against all empires it is at war with.

The problem is that the AI forces him to surrender before you at the very beginning of the turn, forcing you most of the time to keep the city you occupied while the AI vassalizes him.

The current system is really frustrating since it spoils an interesting gameplay : going to war against an empire already weakened by a war.

It's even worse when you have committed a lot of resources to a war and another empire comes in at the very end and steals your victory.

This could be improved by a system where the empire with the highest war score is the first to force the AI to surrender, and so on depending on the war score.

Thanks for reading.

I like this.  Alternately, the empire that's been at war with the losing empire the longest.  Regardless, coming up with an "order of surrender" would be invaluable.  Good request.

E Good idea, not only for this situation, but for others where more than one empire disputes a choice against the AI in the same turn. Having a priority order is essential

This is one of my few pet peeves.

If the AI is going to make peace with another AI - then they should not be able to take territory that you have won through siege. And if they vassalize them, then any territories occupied by another empire should go to that empire.

This is actually what happens. But even if you were occupying some cities of your opponent, your goal may not have been to keep those. Maybe you wanted to empty their bank account or convert them to your religion -the one and only- and you find yourself running a city that may not be worth the effort.

Moreover, you generate a grievence for this empire to keep the city you didn't want ! It really looks like an injustice.
