Display Ethnical Group in Culture Selection

There are a number of Ethnicity groups with unique unit art and some cultures same the same ethnicity group


It could be useful to see what the ethnicity group of the current culture and that of the available cultures are in case a player wishes to pursue a specific ethnicity across many cultures or shake things up and try some they haven't played before and marvel at the unit cards


If ever there would be a real world map available for the game tis regions could be tied to these group restricting selection of the cultures available for an empire based on he territories they have (as suggested in the world map mod)

Was a great improvement for immersion as African kingdoms weren't boosting anymore Caucasian spearmen for example and it was cool to see how the individual generic unit art changed with each ethnicity group - also ensured there is great variety at least on the visual level on the strategic map when it comes to units

The benefits are two-fold: if someone wants to pick a culture that uses the same technicity (unit art) they could easily tell which to choose e.g.: if they are roleplaying and dont wish to deviate or see the ethnicity of their base units flip due to the culture change


On the other hand some people (like me) simply want to see any many unit art as possible and would like to try out various groups - using the designation it could be easy to tell which one we havent seen yet and pick those cultures


The second half of the recommendation is a bit more complex but its basically the world map mod if anyone saw it (didnt manage to get it to work though I also didnt try hard):

1. Introduce world map depicting our Earth

2. Assign a single technicity group to each of the regions on it matching historical reference (Arabic technicity in regions located in the Arabian Peninsula or Han Chinese Eastern Asian coastline territory)

3. When picking culture only those cultures are available for selection where the faction has territory - this ensures each faction remains more or less consistent in their ethnicity until they are able to expand outside and gain regions that enable additional technicity groups e.g: A faction playing in Africa or the Americas will not have access to Asian and European ethnicity groups for a long time


Naturally there arent enough factions allowed in a single game to populate the map but that is another recommendation :)
