remember when battles were +-8 war support regardless of army size? yeah that was exploitable as hell, i used to win wars i shouldnt be able to just by running down enemy reconnissance units. the changes to +-2 per unit killed clearly solved this problem, but it also made some others.


1- Capture the flag is basically a dead mechanic right now, if you're winning the battle, then you dont want to capture the flag to keep enemy units locked in the battle field unable to escape the slaughter.

I think there should still be a war support shift for winning battles on top of the war support per killed unit, so that winning battles actually matters.


2- late game wars end too soon.

late game has much greater unit counts than early game, a single battle sometimes just ends the war; despite the fact that the loser still has too many units yet and can actually still put up a fight.

i think the warsupport shift per unit should be adjusted somehow, maybe simply by current era, or maybe a more complicated mechanic that can calculate something based on how many units you have or can produce.

Honestly they just need to study EU4's war exhaustion and war score mechanics more to better emulate them. It's clearly where the inspirations for war support comes from and their implementation is clearly missing the secret ingredient.
