Same, I am unable to load game. First though I had just advanced to the early modern era but could not progress any further because it was perpetually stuck on waiting for next turn. So I decided to close and reload but none of the save files could open. Instead of opening the load screen starts up and then returns to the main menu....

update, after closing the game for the second time and picking a random save file it opened up successfully
