Game crash in setup

  • Summary / Title: While starting a game it alsways crashed.
  • Description: I wanted to start a game. In the setup process arround 70% to 90% the game crashed. It also crashed other applications on my pc namely opera and discord while having no effect on steam! I could play the Lucy Open Dev without this problem.
  • Steps to Reproduce: Start a game
  • Reproducibility: 3/3
  • Expected Behavior: finish setup
  • Specs of my laptop:
  • Microsoft Windows 10 Professional (x64) Build 19041.928
  • Cpu: intel core i7-8750H
  • Ram: 16 GB DDR4 2666 MHZ
  • Gpu: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti (GP107M) 
  • The game is located on an NVME ssd

I have now goten it to work. Validating the files on steam did nothing but after a reinstall it now works. Initially i used the updated version of Lucy, might be a problem in the update process. Thanks again for your help. Looking forward to enjoying this Open-Dev.

Just chiming in to note that the game also crashed on setup for me, only on my very first try starting a game. After going through the main menu and starting a game with my preferred difficulty level, the loading bar went most of the way and then stopped. An error window temporarily popped up (from Amplitude I think, not my PC) but I could not get a good look at it before it disappeared. I restarted my computer, cleared a little more space (I'm running very low on storage) and then was able to play without the same problem occurring, but the game crashed again later (I'll write about it in a different post, since it was a different issue). @Frogbot: great news!

@nederjosh: it seems your GPU is under our minimal specs. Please could you try to update your graphic driver and launch the game with the lowest quality setting?
