Houston we have a problem

Ok my game hard crashed it just stopped responding out of nowhere in turn 23 then i restarted my game and my avatar and all just didnt get saved and i swear i clicked "save" so then the game acted as if i was brand new again to humankind like wtf :(

The settings and avatar saves only if you manually exit it. It doesn't save those things if it crashes. I'm having a problem launching a map, but I can save my settings if I exit the game normaly.

Hello!

If you are still encountering this can you let us know what platform you are playing on (Steam/Epic/Gamepass/Stadia)? We also need the following to properly investigate:

  • Your last two auto-saves, and any other saves you think may help show the problem. Your saves are by default located: 
    • PC: \Users\[username]\Documents\Humankind\Save Files
  • Your diagnostics logs. These are time stamped, and any time you close and relaunch the game, new ones are started. Please grab all diagnostics logs related to the session you were playing where the issue occurred. These are by default located:
  • PC: \Users\[username]\Documents\Humankind\Temporary Files

  • An output log. These can be found here:
  • PC: This folder is hidden by default. You will need to reveal hidden folders (https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/show-hidden-files-0320fe58-0117-fd59-6851-9b7f9840fdb2 ) then navigate to: Users\[username]\AppData\LocalLow\AMPLITUDE Studios\Humankind

  • Information about the system you are playing on. To get this information:
  • PC: From the Windows desktop, press the Windows and R keys to open the Run window. In the Open: field of the Run window, type dxdiag. Click OK or the Enter key to open the DirectX* Diagnostic Tool.

Hi the game has been pretty much unplayable for me since launch. 47 turns is as far as I’ve got. I’m not very impressed. I’ve never had so many issues trying to play a game. My game crashes randomly and whenever I change graphics settings, screen settings, open certain menus, it crashes when I try to load save games, it crashes before a battle, I played open dev 1 had no problems ( yes I followed steps  and reinstalled, updated drivers ) My avatar is also changing after crash and when I restart it’s almost like I’m starting the game for the first time, with all settings returning to default. I will post my logs  for you ASAP. I see another user posting “ shit happens it’s an new game “ I don’t buy into that view.. But I’m not here to just rant I want to play the game obviously…
