Income drops significantly after filling the 8th slot in a squadron. Can fix by disbanding 1 of the units and reproduce by filling the 8th slot again. Tried buying the unit and producing the unit, both caused the bug. The same bug also happens if you transfer a total of 8 jets to the aircraft carrier.
