As I've been trying to siege throughout the game, it's given me this message: "No siege engine unlocked". At first I assumed I was missing some technology, but now I'm at the end of the game, I have the entire tech tree researched, and it's still giving me this error.
This happened to me also. I was able to use Trebuchets for a few wars, but then suddenly started getting that message and for the rest of the game could never create one despite having the entire tech tree finished.
