I decided to played the game as if I have never played a historical game before, this caused the map to be small and with 3 other civs, single player,  not sure about speed since this was the first time I open the game and asked me how to play,  it didn't show me the pace or the settings, I played to completion but when I reach the Industrial era, I found out that there were no oil resource. So I couldn't build any units that required that. I did got Aluminum and I didn't see Uranium either,  not sure if it would just pop up or not since I didn't get to research before I won the game but I would have expect to have a ? in the map for the resource. I owned practically all the map. from what I read, the map size limits the luxury resources, but I didn't expect it to be true for strategic ones.
