Yes, this happened to me too and to others... also it seems like it is the same with cruise missiles. I already reported this bug. I hope they will fix it.
The full squadron bug happened on my playthrough. It completely trashed my economy until I stumbled upon it a few turns later. I recovered quickly but the damage was done. I really hope the devs see this one and fix it, 100k/turn is a big chunk of change.
