I can't explain how tired I am of this game breaking, crashing, glitching, and I am sure there is more to come.
In my first game I started playing alone I have experianced
- AI constantly freezes during battles and I have to exit and reload the game
- AI freezes on turns - currently I am stuck with this. No matter what I do the AI will not take their turn.
- The game crashing bug that forces you to load back several turns

- Cities break and cause the UI to totally crash making the game unplayable forcing you to go back several turns or burn the city with the bug
I CANT MAKE IT 40 TURNS WITHOUT SOMETHING BREAKING THE ENTIRE GAME! then I have to load back several turns and play a different way and hope it works. That is all I do while I play this. Just hope the poorly made game doesn't break yet again.
The forms are riddles with the game not working and it seems like no solutions are coming out at all, but don't let that bother you, we've got map making contests!
For this post this is the issue I can sit here for 20 minutes and it just sits on this. I tried loading as many turns back as I could but every time I get to turn 1200 this happens no matter what. Is there a hard cap?
People are having this happen at less than 200 turns. It has nothing to do with it. Unless you're trying to tell me this game isn't designed to go for 200 turns....
The fact of the matter is the forms are plagued with these issues and some don't make it as far as 100 turns before dealing with any one of these. I just decided to compile every issue I've found through the play through, and yeah, I played a lot of turns, first play through I wanted to do everything, then I wanted the civs to catch up so I could actually enjoy the fights.
I have same the problem... The Problem first appeared on Turn 446 (Modern Era). After that, i tried manually saving and then loading this Savegame but it didn't helped.
Then I loaded a bit older Savegame (Turn 436), which then also had the error, although the Savegame was okay before the Bug appears. I had to go back almost 50 Turns, before I found a usable Savegame. Only to find out that the error pops up again later (Turn 521).
I almost have the Impression that it is due to the Amount of Information (Number of Cities, Number of Units, Mapsize, Buildings done at the Turn, AI Movement at the Turn, etc.).
Otherwise the game runs flawlessly in 4k and the highest Graphics Settings (i7 9700k, RTX3060 12GB, 16 GB DDR4 RAM, WIN 10 Pro).
I'm really annoyed, yet. I had really much Fun with the Game, but it is unplayable at the Moment.
You'd probably have people more willing to help if you weren't so abrasive in the title. This is like someone putting 400k miles on a car and going back to Toyota like "hey my axles are cracked and the transmission is starting to go, you guys are total morons and you should feel terrible about every decision you've made"
whilst i agree with the need to dial down the agressive tone, the problems exist, It should be possible to play a game and complete the tech tree at least no? I have had to reinstall the game after it just refused to even start a new game. I have had a cannot continue bug, ( switched off mandatories) . This is a lot of problems for a game that is not cheap, But i will do my part by posting bug reports with details and avoiding inflammatory language ;-)

I mean, I am in the Technology field myself. If I delivered a product with this many bugs, and took to long to fix it I would be fired. It's funny, games use to come out and have zero problems. Now they come out and some of them can barely function and everyone is just cool. That isn't acceptable to me. If I sold you a brand new car and it randomly stopped running all the time you're telling me you would be cool with that?
Besides all the other post that I linked where I was perfectly nice guess who the only people solving the issue is? Me. Zero solutions from anyone else. So it clearly doesn't matter, aggressive, not aggressive, it's not getting solved. So at least this way I can get some frustration out. I know not all players have had the same experience but I went back and looked and here are the turns that caused me to post bugs to forms within just the first 600 turns

I know not everyone has run into this many problems but I have and 600 turns is a game mode you can select. The game should function that long or don't let anyone select it. The only person who kept the game going after it broke every time was me, and only because with my technical background I was able to find ways around. God help anyone that doesn't know about this stuff. So when I say this game is trash, I mean it, even Outriders, the game the Devs openly apologized for, didn't give me this many problems. Do I hear anything from these devs? Crickets.

I agree, my biggest let down is how much I really do like this game but I noticed all the bugs happen when you expand too much. As a test I ran a 300 turn game where All I did was spawn as many scouts as possible, and I was able to get it to crash this exact way again by doing that. I think once too many units enter the map the game file gets corrupted. I think I read something similar happening to Cyberpunk. Honestly, it probably wont be an easy fix, so anyone looking for big fights, max out civs, max out map size, and fight till the last man standing, something I loved doing in Civ, probably wont get that for a long time.
What do you mean "This"? Did you totally ignore where I posted an entire form of people who were having the same issue before even turn 200...
Or are you one of those that just reply without reading anything. Again clearly if tons of people are having it happen before turn 200 then the turn count has nothing to do with it so I don't know what you mean when you say "This" what about it?
The problem is most probably the coregame itself.... just everything is done and calculated at the exact same time for every single faction, even your actions (the more you calculate at the same time, the more likely something will break) unlike in civilisation where each faction is calculated one by one at the end of your turn.
