[INV] Crash on startup post-DLC

I've been playing the game since launch with minimal issues, but since downloading the latest DLC & patch, I've been unable to load the game - it always gets to the same place (roughly 3/4 full), then the game freezes completely. I have verified the game files, but this did nothing. Has anyone else experienced a similar problem, and if so, how did you solve it? Thanks in advance.

I’m still looking for the same answer, enjoyed the game at launch and after the first major patch it’s been doing this ever since, tried every option the devs give for fixing and cant count how many times I’ve tried reinstalling since then.

Sorry if I suggest solution you've already tried but, could you please try to delete the folder in this location?

- PC: \Users\[username] \Documents\Humankind\Users

- Mac: This is hidden in the Libraries folder. You will need to do an internet search to find specific steps for your OS. Once the libraries folder is revealed, they are in user/library/ application support/humankind/Temporary Files 



If this solution doesn't fix your issue, could you please provide the following files?:


- Your diagnostics logs. These are time stamped, and any time you close and relaunch the game, new ones are started. Please grab all diagnostics logs related to the session you were playing where the issue occurred. These are by default located:

o PC: \Users\[username]\Documents\Humankind\Temporary Files

o Mac: This is hidden in the Libraries folder. You will need to do an internet search to find specific steps for your OS. Once the libraries folder is revealed, they are in user/library/ application support/humankind/Temporary Files


- An output log. These can be found here:

o PC: This folder is hidden by default. You will need to reveal hidden folders (https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/show-hidden-files-0320fe58-0117-fd59-6851-9b7f9840fdb2 ) then navigate to: Users\[username]\AppData\LocalLow\AMPLITUDE Studios\Humankind

o Mac: This is hidden in the Libraries folder. You will need to do an internet search to find specific steps for your OS. Once the libraries folder is revealed, they are in user/library/logs/amplitude studios/humankind

This hasn't fixed the issue sadly but I do appreciate the assistance. Currently I can't seem to post the diagnostics file, as every time I try to only receive an error message instead.

Sorry to hear that it hasn't fixed your issue. To upload your diagnostic files, you'll have to put them in a folder and compress them using software like 7-zip or WinRAR.

After coming back to my computer after a day or so and cleaning some files, it seems to have actually fixed the issue somehow since then to update on how its going. I'm not sure how exactly it fixed the issue or if it was something from before but it seems to be working for now finally. Thank you for the assistance.

@Guirty I'm not sure to be honest, I deleted the files the developer mentioned before, came back the next day and then did a general disk cleanup on my system like usually just to get rid of anything I didn't need on my system, thought I'd try running the game and it started up just fine. I did also turn off some of Microsoft Onedrive which I thought could've been causing problems with some other files on my computer so maybe that could be an issue.

To help us investigate could you please provide the following files:

I think you meant to state the following location:

user/library/ application support/humankind/Users
