The Mississippian event wasn't a normal event like the previous ones (most recent Da Vinci).  It also may be actually over because we did it!  We hit 2,000,000 builder stars earlier today, and so it may have ended early.  Everyone gets the new culture when it's released, though. It's not just for people who played and contributed.

Ok, so it wasn't supposed to show up from the start?

I think I received a single notice about it back in May, but didn't go looking for it within the game/Events area since, so I'm not positive.

No, it wasn't one of the individual events, so it didn't show up there, though it would be nice if moving forward events like this one would show up in that tab with short explanation and advise on how to check the current community progress on G2G.
