Bug Description

I was just at the start of a new game, with two tribe units, one more north than the other. the one in the south ended up gaining enough food to produce another tribe unit, while on the same turn the unit up in the north got one of the events where you can choose to get a free unit. I of course did choose that option. However, after ending the turn I noticed a unit of mine disappeared, with no warning or notification. Seems like a bug to me, so I came here to report it.

Unfortunately I don't have any autosaves of the turns before the bug happens. In addition, there are some screenshots of the game's options, in case that helps. Also, there is the player.log file. I looked at the folder with the diagnostic files, but all of them seemed to be at least a day old so I haven't included them.

Steps to reproduce

1) Move southern tribe unit down and to the right to collect two food curiosities, so it creates another unit.

2) Select the event happening to the tribe unit in the north, and select the option that gives a free tribe unit.

3) Skip turns for the two armies in the north, or just have them run out of movement points.

4) Press END TURN button.

Expected behavior

I would expect that I keep all four units, but instead in the army in the south a tribe unit disappears, without showing any kind of notification or event. If I hadn't looked at the army to try and split it into two, I would not have even noticed I lost a unit.
