Description: After installing the Ibn Battuta update when the title screen loads, the screen glitches, and then the game crashes. PC/Steam, Windows 11, Steam package versions: 1654574690 and 1658944613

Steps to Reproduce: It happens immediately upon starting the program after the Amplitude screen.

Reproducibility: 5/5

Expected Behavior: Game should run.

I've had the same issue, and deleting the Users folder mentioned in this thread fixed it for me

Same here. PC/EGS, Win10, Ibn Battuta update installed. Crash to desktop after the SEGA intro.

Renaming the Users folder (so that the game creates a new one) seems to allow the game to launch.

Thanks, this worked. As I expected the settings, avatar etc are gone.

If you are connected to 2g2 ingame and have uploaded the avatar with the "share" button you can also download it again from there.

+1 to this fix working, I simply renamed the Users folder so I could easily reinstate if needed, but all good now and able to run the Ibn Battuta beta now. Previously, I was crashing every startup with the beta, and running fine for bolivar. Thank you for the help! And hopefully this assists others to know it is a good fix :-)

Is this the file for humankind that is in the PC's User folder, that everyone is talking about?

Just so you know, we rolled the main branch back to Bolivar on Steam and EGS. You can try Battuta on the beta branch still, while we are working to deploy a hotfix (should arrive early next week at the latest).

It is since last friday. There hasn't been any new reports as far as I can tell.
