I've noticed on the encyclopedia that there are many Narrative Events that I have never found in my games even though I have 1868h on Humankind.

Here's a little list:

• Pet or Bayonet (Ferrets)
• A More Perfect Union
• Army Dreamers
• Cat Mania (Feline-tastic!)
• Cat Mania (Miaow-pot!)
• Deepwater Disaster
• Ferret Mania (Ferret-licious!)
• Ferret Mania (Ferret-raculous!)
• Rainbow Nation
• The Rightful Heirs
• A Legion of Players
• Dice Wars
• Native Sun
• A Harsh and Distant Front
• A World of Difference
• Red Menace
• A Hunter's Blessings
• A Salve for the Bloodied

Pecking of Poultry, Salve for the Bloodied, Rightful Heirs, Map of the Heavens, World of Difference happen pretty often to me. Native Sun and Filthy Masses I've seen maybe once each.

Not sure how it is now, because I've not chosen the option lately, but Legion of Players is outcome of earlier gambling event (think it's Fool's Gamble?) and a while ago I made a thread about how ridiculous its Ferocious status was

Definitely haven't seen ones being follow-up to ferrets/cats, although I vaguely recall someone talking about those. There was some talk about LGBT-related ones being region-locked, I believe.

I have had:

1. Pet or Bayonet (I always go ferret, so no chance for the other one anyway)

4. Ferret Mania (and ofc Cat Mania)

Other, outside of your list, I've also not had.
It reminds me of this thread: so luck + requirements should explain it.
