It's not clear in the game, but we as human players don't get the strengths of our persona when we play as them.  Only AIs benefit from persona strengths.

This is an ongoing and fairly commonly requested feature in the game, though.

Yeah that's what I thought too. However, when I play a new game now, it seems that I am getting the bonuses from the Artist and Ideologist Strengths so I thought the devs implemented this requested feature in the new Ibn Batutta update (even though I didn't see anything in the notes??). I could be totally wrong and might have miscalculated whether I am getting a bonus or not. It would be awesome if you can please check this too!

If they did implement this, then yeah it seems like there's a glitch or bug with it. Thank you again for commenting, I thought I was going mental when I saw my Persona have these bonuses while playing with them.

Oh, weird! I remember noticing my own avatar's Strengths appearing on the diplomacy screen last night, and I wasn't sure if that was new or not.  I poked around to see if I was benefitting from them, and I wasn't.  If you're actually getting the bonuses from some, that's interesting.

They just show up as icons. They have no influence whatsoever though (as far as I can tell).

But this might be an MP thing, which if a human leaves the ai takes over for you. Not sure how this was handled in the past (AI bonuses), but with this the ai should now use your persona and take over with the AI persona traits.
