Description: Firstly, thanks for developing a clear competitor to Civ- there has been some great work on this game. Eight of us have been playing multiplayer Humankind every Monday night since release. Generally, we enjoy the game, but now that we are well established on it, we have a glaring issue that makes our game outcomes now feel like the roll of the dice- frustrating given that each game can last 6 weeks' worth of sessions.
In our games, we play three different numbers of continents:
1) 8 Continents OR
2) Pangaea (1 Continent) OR
3) 2-4 Continents
Option 1 (8 Continents) works well- everyone spawns on their own continent AND the continents are of similar size.
However, for the latter two options:
- (bug 1) the spawn locations are uneven
- AND (bug 2) in the case of the third option the continent sizes generated are extremely uneven
This often makes the spawn location and continent sizes game-defining from Turn 0. For example, in our most recent game, which is 2-4 Continents, we had 2 continents generated, one of which is ~75% larger than the other. Four players have been spawned on each continent. The four people who have 75% more land on the larger continent have a blatant advantage and aren't forced in to early wars because of proximity, meaning they can scale economically much more quickly than those on the much smaller continent.
We enjoy random generation, some variation in the luck of spawns, and enjoy early game tussles over land, but not when someone else on the opposite side of the world is free-settling because everyone else spawned 50 hexes away from them and they are on a much larger continent! We have observed this uneven spawn location and uneven continent size behaviour multiple times over the past year and have simply played on, but it is starting to grate and would affect whether we continue playing, because games are so dependent on session 0 roll of the dice. It would be really great to see some comment/progress on this!

Steps to Reproduce:
- For 2-4 Continents (issue mainly uneven continent sizes): Make a new game with Large map, 8 Players, 50% land, 2-4 Continents
- For 1 Continent Pangaea (issue is mainly uneven spawn locations): Make a new game with Large map, 8 Players, 60% Land, 1 Continent, Pangaea
Expected Behavior: Civ always seemed to have relatively even continent sizes and spawn locations were spread fairly evenly. We would love to see this balance programmed in to Humankind's map generator and spawn locations.
