maps feel smaller because units have a lot of movement points, or maybe the option to edit the movement points of units, making them have less movement points

Hey !

First and foremost, thank you for submitting your ideas in order to help us make a better game.

Unfortunately after talking with the designers and programmers about your idea, it would be quite difficult to balance. In fact we would prefer to add at some point an option for even bigger maps,  that would require less effort and wouldn't collides with other aspects of the game in termes of balancing (pacing, terrain generation, balncing between units...). I think you can already find those kind of maps in mod.io and the steam workshop (yes we now have a steam workshop ^^)

Also we recently added the ability for the player to adjust the size of the territories.
