I recently had an issue reported by others of my entire set of chosen personae (from the global list at g2g) suddenly no longer appearing as possible factions when starting a new game
to avoid this from happening again I used a BepInEx mod
https://gc2021.com/showthread.php?tid=53&pid=272#pid272
to create my own set of personae which are stored on MY machine, not subject to being arbitrarily disconnected at the whim of the g2g interface

my idea is for HK is to allow game players to save just the avatar pic of a global persona to their local machine
1) this pic save could be as simple as a right click on the avatar image with an option list than includes 'copy avatar pic code' to clipboard. this code could then be plugged into an existing persona created by the BepInEx mod referenced above
the avatar pic code could be used to either create an entirely new persona or to recreate the g2g global persona which supplied the avatar image
2) alternatively the developers could chose for a right click on the avatar image option to allow HK game players to save an entire g2g global persona to their local machine as a xxx.persona file in the Users\<user>\Documents\Humankind\Persona directory. however previous developer comments suggest that for reason they do not want the game player to be able to do this
if method two is coded there also needs to be new code to fix to the missing xxx.persona file bug. this bug occurs when for example you have 30 user supplied persona files (in the file folder indicated above) but only 28 show up as possible picks for new factions. if the developers want to hard code a limit to the number of user supplied personae that can be on the new game new faction pick list they should publish that limit so that it is no longer an unwelcome surprise (and a rational explanation why some of the personae are 'missing' when creating a new game)

anyone ever noticed how repetitive the avatar pics are? that is because HK uses a limited number of base facial models which are then customized with skin tone, scars, age, etc to look slightly different. since the game insists on dressing the avatar in new clothes each era change there is no possibility of just importing your own jpg or gif for the avatar image. however the developers could invest a little time to double or triple the number of base facial models so the images do not look so repetitive
