I like the idea of different cultures being more unique past simple number tweaks so for the Ottomans it would be cool to see the Janissaries (which are kind of useless compared to other units from what I've seen) have a secondary reason for training them, giving you the ability to lessen the influence of foreign religions, that is if religion gets an overhaul.

Yeah, I agree.

It could be a form of the Greener Pastures (or whatever its called) agrarian ability. You can make Janissaries consume a bordering city's pop if they don't follow your religion.

That or it steals population specifically from vassals and allied independent people
